OVERVIEW:
The homeowner of this large, 1950s, remodeled brick home in Denver was searching for a quality pergola installation for their spacious L-shaped patio. The pergola had to be L-shaped to match the backyard area of installation and complement the patio and pool area. The goal of this homeowner was to have a three-season room with easy electrical access for an outdoor kitchen and grilling area as well as space for lounging and to accommodate office work out on the patio. They wanted extra lighting by the grill and to have electricity where there normally would not be access.

CHALLENGE:
The large brick home had large, arched windows on the backside that we did not want to cover up. The pergola design had to accommodate the configuration of the windows, which made it almost impossible to put a pergola up against it. One corner space featured the back door and arched windows, which were left exposed to not cover up the window.
One added challenge, in addition to the arch windows, was the brick wall. The pergola had to be fastened to the brick with epoxy, bolts, and stainless steel rods.
SOLUTION:
StruXure of the Rockies installed a three-zone, 27’ x 20’ Pivot 6 with two long 20’ zones and one 10’ zone. This was long enough to be installed on the outside edge of the patio to provide maximum outdoor living space, providing coverage for the living area, grilling, and dining space. The large pergola was designed in bronze with white louvers to match the house perfectly. Lights, heaters, fans, and screens provided a luxurious three-season room and entertainment area. We accessorized the posts for easy electrical access, and two large screens on the walls added to the entertainment possibilities.
The Pivot 6 louvered roof allows shade when needed while providing sunshine when desired. Homeowners are in complete control with remote control of the louvers to angle in or out and automatic rain sensors for added protection. The Pivot 6, with our integrated, patented gutter system, diverts the torrential Denver rainwater away from the structure. We added charging stations to the posts for the convenience of the homeowners when working and to accommodate guests when entertaining.
RESULTS:
